Battle Rules

Singles.

· In the UPFC battles are fought using link battle format. Directions can be found on this hyperlink. Ensure you communicate on Discord via private message, the link code in order to battle each other.

· Trainers are scheduled to fight one UPFC trainer per week. The matches will be posted on the Blog section of the website.

· The battles are the best of the three series.

· Since there is no Replay in Pokémon Scarlet each trainer is required to either record video using the capture button, or to take a picture of who won via the capture button. Directions on how to do that can be found via this hyperlink. All 30 second clips will be posted in the highlight section of the Power Rankings for that week.

· The winner oversees recording of the Kill Death Assist (KDA) ratio for the entire match. Thus, the easiest way to do it is just record what happens on a notepad while playing. Email the results to terrance.w.matlack@gmail.com.

Example of Capture photo:

Example of Highlight Video:

o Kill is when a Pokémon causes another Pokémon to faint using a physical or special attack.

o Death is when a Pokémon faints.

o Assist is when a Pokémon causes a status condition resulting in that Pokémon to faint, heals a Pokémon besides themselves and the Pokémon healed causes the opponent to faint, or leaches life causing the Pokémon to faint. Example of assist moves are; Thunder wave, Toxic Spikes, Curse, Wish, Healing Wish, etc.

· No Pokémon while battling can use the same move. This will act as the match being disqualified and Trainers will have to play against each other again. If someone does it twice then it is counted as a loss. If a Trainer does it three times, it is counted as a Series loss.

· No Pokémon can have the same item held. This will act as the match being disqualified and Trainers will have to play against each other again. If someone does it twice then it is counted as a loss. If a Trainer does it three times, it is counted as a Series loss.

· Play through the entire game. Even if odds are not in your favor, please play it through. If a player is a habitual quitter, meaning automatically quits when it looks like they will lose and does this three times in a row., it will count as an automatic loss. If a player continues in most matches they participate in, they will not be welcomed in the next UPFC.

· In a series a trainer can only change up to 10 moves. When the series is over there is no limit.

· You must use all Pokémon you drafted in the season before Playoffs.

· All Pokémon must be level 100.

Doubles 2v2

· You cannot have different Pokémon than the Pokémon you drafted.

· You cannot change your partner.

· Matches will be posted on the blog page.

· The same rules applied to singles will be applied to doubles.
