The top two from Scarlet and Violet automatically go into playoffs. The Bottom Trainers in the standings go to elimination phase. Elimination phase is when all trainers in the bottom 5-10 battle each other until they receive 3 loses. The last two that have not received three loses will go into the Playoffs.
