Pokémon Composition Rules:
Base point average (BPA) cannot exceed 500. To look at basepoint averages go to Pokémon Showdown.com or Bulbapedia.com. To calculate the average BPA the UPFC league takes your six highest BPA Pokémon and averages it.
No Legendries.
No Pokémon Trainer in the UPFC league can have the same Pokémon.
Pokémon Trainers can only draft one Mega-evolution, only one Pseudo Legendary, and only one not fully evolved Pokémon.
Trainers can only have a maximum of two similar types and not the same type. For example, say the trainer has Mega Aggron and Ferrothorn and a Victreebel . Notice the Trainer hasn’t exceeded the maximum of two similar types, this is accepted. If a trainer has a Bastiodon instead of Victreebel this would be prohibited because he has three similar types. If the trainer has two of the same exact type this is also prohibited.
The Ditto rule: this Pokémon’s hidden ability if obtained is imposter. This means ditto can transform into any Pokémon without clicking a single move. The UPFC has decided raising Ditto’s BPA to 388 instead of 288 because of this new hidden ability.
The Minior rule: since this Pokémon's BPA changes to 500 that is what the BPA is counted as.
Wishiwashi-school rule: this Pokémon's BPA s counted as 600.
Tatsugiri and Dondozo rule: When Tatsugiri enters Dondozo's mouth , the Dondozo will have all its base state raised by two stages. Because of this Dondozo's and Tatsugiri base point average is 700.
A trainer can have a maximum of 8 Pokémon, 2 Pokémon on the bench, and a minimum of 6. Remember the UPFC League takes the six Pokémon with highest BPA and averages their BPA to get the average exceeding no more then 500.
Trainers are only allowed to have one Pseudo Legendary and one Mega.
The Pokemon Trainer who received the Master Championship trophy cannot use the same Pokemon from UPFC I and II. Instead the top six Pokémon the championship trainer used to become the champion go into the HALL OF FAME and cannot be used by another trainer. Here are the Pokémon currently placed in the HALL OF FAME because of the result of UPFC I and II:
Smeargal, Sharpedo, Blissey, Mr. Mime, Shuckle Vileplume, Driftblum, Diggersby, Mimikyu, Whimsicott, Golisipod, Wobbufett, Areodactyl, Electross
Draft Rules:
The Pokémon Trainer’s that played in previous club tournaments get to use their Pokémon from previous leagues. Note, the Champion must draft a whole new team, this detest the skill of the trainer rather than his or her Pokémon.
The Draft will be randomized between the new trainers. The trainers from previous tournaments will get to pick their Pokémon according to how well they did last league event. If you were the Champion last league event you go last, if you were second place you go second to last, etc.
The draft will commence via a certain day, each trainer will message on discord the day they are free during the month of July 2023. The draft will end on that day.
During the Draft, you must select a minimum of 6 Pokémon.
Free Agents: are Pokémon not signed onto a team during the draft. These Pokémon can be drafted to a Trainer all the way up to mid-season. The draft deadline will be posted on the UPFC website on the calendar link. Note, your average cannot exceed 500 BPA.
A trainer cannot Release Pokémon once they are drafted. SO, DRAFT WISELY POKEMON TRAINERS.
D-Day, is the opening day of Pokémon battles. Each week Pokémon Trainers are assigned one opponent a week. The two competitors will decide what day of the week they can battle.
